Background
Before recruitment, Ashley worked as a sales negotiator at Arun Estates. She moved into recruitment in 2011 at Right Track Recruitment in Horsham. She joined as a trainee consultant and progressed to Billing Manager, leading a team of three.
In 2014 she moved to Harris Lord Recruitment in Horsham as a Senior Recruitment Consultant. For six years she worked in its office and commercial division, filling permanent and contract roles across West Sussex.
Why Ashley set up Pineapple Careers
In 2021 Ashley took a Senior Recruitment Consultant role with Badenoch + Clark in London. London wasn’t for her. After eight months, she knew the market she wanted to work in was the one she had grown to love: Horsham, its businesses and its people.
So she came back and set up Pineapple Careers. She wanted Horsham employers and job seekers to have a recruiter who knows the town, meets every candidate and does the work herself. She has led the business as Managing Director since August 2021.
How Ashley works
Ashley meets every candidate before she puts them forward. For employers, she screens and interviews applicants and presents three to five people for each role. The fee is only payable when the new starter begins, and every placement comes with a 12-week rebate.
She also offers hourly talent-management support for businesses. For candidates, finding a job through Pineapple Careers is free.

Ashley recruits across Horsham, Crawley, Guildford, Brighton, Worthing, Haywards Heath, East Grinstead, Billingshurst and the wider West Sussex area.
