Pineapple Careers are delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation based on the outskirts of Horsham to recruit a Manufacturing & Assembly Engineer on a full-time permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to production and assembly capacity, taking a lead role in more technical assembly tasks
- Design, publish and maintain routing instructions for works orders to guide operators on the sequence of the build process, equipment required and records to be maintained
- Support first-off and new product builds, developing and maintaining standard work procedures using process instructions and Quality Care Points
- Ensure all processes comply with Health & Safety and Quality requirements
- Create and publish learning-focused Quality Care Points for technical product builds, including assessment of work areas and tooling prior to assembly
- Assist in training Operations staff in the safe and correct application of assembly processes, tools and equipment
- Support label creation and printing tasks using appropriate software and IT systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on in-house production equipment, resolving issues and updating service logs
- When production work allows, support Operations Inspection activities, including Goods In inspection and customer-specific Goods Out inspections
Key Skills:
Has awareness or certifications in the following:
- IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 HSD tinning
- NASA-STD-8739.3 Soldered electrical connections
- BS-EN-IEC-60352-2 Solderless connections & crimped connections
- Familiar with the tools, processes and procedures used in electronics manufacturing and assembly
- Experience in providing suggestions and improvements to manufacturing processes
- Understand the importance of Health & Safety
